Is God Enough?

Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral. Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” Hebrews 13:4-6

Is God enough? Take some time and answer that question honestly because it’s a very simple question that could ultimately change your life. I know we all would like to think the answer to this is “yes” because we want that to be true in our lives. It’s important to understand that sin is something that will always be around, whether it’s through temptation or selfish desires, and God tells us to trust in Him and have no fear.

Can you imagine what life would be without fear? God wants us to give him everything or nothing at all, Revelations 3:15-19 calls it being hot or cold, but if we are lukewarm He will spit us out of his mouth. When we are content with the things that God gives us, because we trust that He knows what we need, the fear that ran our life for so long is no longer present!

Contentment in what God gives us is key for our survival as faithful servants and when we see that our spouse is enough or our check book balance is enough, we allow God to give us comfort in his blessings! When will God be enough for you?
