Intentional Discipleship

In this week, part 3 of walking through he values of Friendship Church, it’s all about intentional discipleship. Now, I’ve never heard of accidental discipleship but I know from experience there is discipleship negligence. You’ve seen it before, someone becomes a Christian at a heightened emotional gathering and then are left to figure it all out on their own. Sure they may have been given a Gideon New Testament, but where’s the follow-through?

I sense Intentional Discipleship starts with you, me, us. When we are intentional about growing in our own faith, we start getting passionate about seeing others grow. It’s almost like when we draw near to God, He draws near to us and He begins to rub off on us.

Who are you intentionally disciplining and walking with in your faith? Maybe you need to start with you. Ask for help. We are not meant to walk alone.
