Individual and Corporate Prayer
Week 9 of blogging through the values of Friendship Church brings us to: Individual and Corporate Prayer.
When I think about prayer, I’m always reminded of the two books that changed my prayer life:
Praise Habit by David Crowder
Too Busy Not To Pray by Bill Hybels
Prayer is not something that has to be so liturgical. “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thess. 5:16-18)
This is great for individual pray, but what about corporate prayer? Not prayer at your company’s weekly staff meeting, prayer with the body of Christ, together, to keep the body strong and unified in the Lord:
“A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” (Ecc. 4:12b)
Never underestimate the power of prayer. Make it a regular part of your day, alone and with the body of Christ.
