"In These Uncertain Times…”

Everyone is talking about the economy these days. Even those who don’t normally speak of such things or even know what an “economy” is. But one thing is for sure, we all go through times, more often than not, when we feel completely hopeless.

In 2 Chronicles 20, we read a prayer from a guy named Jehoshaphat. In the midst of a time when he felt the weight of the world on his shoulders, he prays this to God:

“We don’t know what to do, but our eyes are on You.” [verse 12b]

Almost poetic and very easy to remember, this simple prayer can change everything about the heavy situation you are in right now. And when you say this to God, do yourself a favor and mean it. Just for today, determine to take your eyes off of these issues you’re having and place them on the one who deserves your undivided attention.

Your response is everything.
