Humility and Security in Christ

Romans 12: 3 Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us.

Take time this morning to pray and remind yourself not to think you are more more important than others, and that you can only compare yourself to God.

Ephesians 5: 1 Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children.

But at the same time remember not to think of yourself as anything less than God’s child.

Our deepest desire should be to posses both humility and security.    Finding  that healthy balance is hard but if we make ourselves aware of the challenge before us then we’ve won half the battle.  Don’t loose heart.  Re-challenge yourself each day to strive for humility and security in Christ.
