Higher Ways
3: 22 “Return, faithless people;
I will cure you of backsliding.”
“Yes, we will come to you,
for you are the LORD our God.
In this passage of Jeremiah God is speaking to Isreal. He refers to them as a faithless people who have prostitued themselves and committed adultry against Him. And yet He still wants them. He is still willing to “cure their backsliding”. I don’t know about you but I’m not sure I could get over such betrayal. The Isrealites weren’t walking a fine delicate line; they were blatently sinning.
This passage is just one more way we see that His ways are not like ours, His ways are higher, better, and with purpose of the end result.
Your higher ways teach me to trust you.
Your higher ways are not like mine.
