Gray is Gray
Something a lot of Christians don’t like to talk about openly are what we call “gray areas”. These are things that are not specifically spelled out as right or wrong in the scriptures. The biggest debate in the land of gray is on the subject of drinking. This begs the question: “Is it OK for Christians to drink?”
Everyone has his or her own opinion, but I say we go to the only opinion that matters: God’s word.
“Everything is permissible for me’—but not everything is beneficial. ‘Everything is permissible for me’—but I will not be mastered by anything.”
[1 Corinthians 6:12]
“But take care that this right of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block to the weak.” [1 Corinthians 8:9]
“They must not slander others or be heavy drinkers.” [Titus 2:3]
If you are a Christian and your actions become a hindrance or stumbling block to others, then you are wrong. The choice is yours. The ball is in your court.
Your response is everything.
