God Help Me With My Enemy
Psalm 36: 1-3 O LORD, oppose those who oppose me. Fight those who fight me.
2 Put on your armor, and take up your shield. Prepare for battle, and come to my aid.
3 Lift up your spear and javelin against those who pursue me. Let me hear you say, “I will give you victory!”
Mighty King David sure knew how to send up a prayer asking for God’s help against the enemy. Whether your enemy is someone you know, an unknown person who is attacking you or your family, or a “thing” that Satan has thrown your way to you feel under attack; take it to the LORD in prayer. You may even use this very same Psalm. I would encourage you to pull out your Bible and read all the way through this chapter. God isn’t only there for us when someone is sick, He is there to fight the daily battles we go through. He wants to see us be delivered from the enemy, from the trials, and from adversities.
He also wants our lives and our mouths to give Him the praise while He’s bringing us through the fire as well as when we’ve been delivered out of the fire. The last part of this Psalm says “Then I will proclaim your justice and I praise you all day long”!
