Getting A Share of the Glory

Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. – Romans 8:17

God does not technically “share” His glory, because only he is worthy to be glorified as we talked about yesterday.  But, we can “share in” the glory of God as we experience it in His presence as His children. 

Think of it this way, if you were the son/daughter of Bill Gates your dad would be one of the wealthiest men in the world.  The money is his, he earned it.  But, because you are his child, and your in good standing with him as your father, you get to enjoy and experience the benefit of his money.

It’s the same way with the glory of God.  You haven’t earned it, and certainly don’t deserve it, but because your Father loves you, you get to enjoy, experience, and relish in His glory.  So, get closer to your Father, “snuggle” up next to Him today, and allow His glory to shine over you!
