Get Noticed
So many times Christians live in a safe bubble and believe that if God wants them to share their faith that He will present a situation to their face. While I believe that is true to a certain extent, Christians are supposed to be called out people who make things happen. Real “go-getters” and those who “get-er-done”!
What happened to make us a bunch of pansies along the way? Aren’t we called to a bold life?
Because of this, I’m sending out a call, a challenge if you will, for Christians to start getting noticed. Oh, Christians get a lot of publicity, but for all the wrong reasons. We always hear about someone who claims to be a Christian and they make stupid decision after stupid decision, and the world takes notice of that, big time. We’re not to be known for that. We don’t want that kind of attention, so don’t you bring it! The kind of attention that God calls us to is the kind that brings Him glory and not shame.
When Paul was released from prison in the middle of the night by an angel of the Lord, listen carefully to what the angel told him to do:
“Go, stand in the temple courts,” he said, “and tell the people all about this new life.” [Acts 5:20, TNIV]
That doesn’t sound very shy to me. It sounds pretty bold. It sounds like the angel was telling Paul to go make the fame of Jesus known. Draw some attention to the glory of God.
Is it us that has to get noticed? Sometimes, in order for God to get the glory people need to see Christians behaving boldly.
Are you getting noticed for the right reasons?
Your response is everything.
