Fun’s The Word

One of the most important things you will ever do as a married couple is simply have fun together!  If you don’t quite agree with me then look at what King Solomon says Ecclesiastes 8:15.

Which brings me to a few questions that will hopefully challenge you to make fun a priority in your relationship and the various ways you can achieve total satisfaction! What are some things that you do for fun with your spouse that you both enjoy? How often do you find yourself enjoying your spouse?

Think about it….How many people have you met or come into contact with on a regular basis that seem to be in a funk, or a bad mood? If those same people are like that at home, regardless of why, it would likely force out the possibility of fun. There are many of us who struggle when it comes to dealing with our emotions. Especially when it leads to negativity, I mean, who wants to have fun with a negative person? Bottom line is when we selfishly allow our emotions to control everything is a mistake because it could eventually lead to divorce. Emotions are like a pendulum, one minute they’re up and the next minute they’re down, so learning how to balance them is crucial.

To make sure you have a healthy dose of fun in your marriage, set up a regular date night with each other, and bring the kids with you every other time. Just sit down, grab a calendar, pick a day, and stick to it! It is too easy to fall into the same old routine and avoid fun time because of conflict, but if you make fun a priority, it’s much easier to make it reality!

Don’t wait until tomorrow…Start serving your spouse today!
