Father’s Day in Turkey…

My Father and Mother spent Father day in a little town called Ephesus in the present day country of Turkey. This is of course the place the Apostle Paul was writing to in the book of Ephesians. They sent out this blogpost yesterday and I thought I would share it with all of you, enjoy!

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY FROM EPHESUS, TURKEY

We spent Father’s Day in the Ancient City of Ephesus in the Country of Turkey. We have been re-reading the book of the Bible named after the City. Hundreds of Biblical thoughts raced through our minds as we literally stood where the Apostle Paul stood to proclaim the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to this city steeped in idolatry of every kind. We recalled Paul’s words to “HONOR YOUR FATHER” – Ephesians 6:2 on this very special day of the year.

Paul wasted no time in the book to mention Creation to the Ephesians’. In fact in Ephesians 1:4 Paul wrote: “For He chose us in Him before the CREATION of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.”

It has been an exciting day as we have walked in the steps of the Apostle Paul and remembered his incredible letter to this ancient place.
