Don’t Leave Home ‘Without’ Him
And he [Moses] said to him [God], “If your presence will not go with me, do not bring us up from here. For how shall it be known that I have found favor in your sight, I and your people? Is it not in your going with us, so that we are distinct, I and your people, from every other people on the face of the earth?” [Exodus 33:15-16, ESV]
Usually without much thought, we come home from the church service and before we go to bed that night we put God in the closet and wait until next Sunday to bring Him back out? Now can God be contained by a coat closet? No, but we put him there so that we can carry on with our week without having to haul him around.
Two things wrong with this picture.
1) he’s not WITH you, he’s IN you [Colossians 1:27]
2) You can’t fully live without him [John 10:10]
Make sure that when you go, He not only goes, but SHOWS through you.
Your response is everything.
