Does God Validate Our Time?

Yesterday was the official start of Summer and Summer is time to go out and get things done. Vacation, trips, projects…everyone wants to do something. But what if you had to spend your whole Summer waiting? Not doing much at all, just sitting around waiting. Would it be worth it in the end? Depends on what the wait is for, right? If it’s for something meaningless and pointless, then no, it’s not worth the wait.

But the Bible often tells us to wait on God. Have you ever just sat and waited to hear from the Lord? Just to quiet your heart and your mind of all the things that you “think” are important and really wait to hear from God about what HE has for you.

Psalm 40:1 is a popular verse for this topic, but a very challenging one too: “I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry.” When we wait, God notices; He validates our patience. He validates our time.

Maybe God is calling you to wait on Him today. “Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord”. Very true. Wait on Him and begin to feel a renewed strength.

Your response is everything.
