Do you blush?
Jeremiah 6: 15 Are they ashamed of their loathsome conduct?
No, they have no shame at all;
they do not even know how to blush.
So they will fall among the fallen;
they will be brought down when I punish them,”
says the LORD.
Boy, Oh Boy! Can you imagine this being said of you!!! WOW!!!
I must admit I had to cringe when I came across this verse. I would be so devastated if this was said of me and yet I can look back on my life and know that I have not even blushed at my own shameful behavior. The only thing that is different for me is that I have a Savior. I have been able to look back and repent. I have sat at the feet of Jesus and said please use me in spite of my ignorance.
If you look back over your life and cringe at the behavior you’ve displayed don’t dismiss it as just a “bad memory”. Grasp the opportunity to come clean and become closer to the only one who can forgive and remove that sin.
Is embarrassment your motivation for change. Are you just afraid someone might call you on the carpet and you will “blush”? I challenge you to live out loud, bold, and completely unashamed because your loathsome conduct has been thrown into the deep sea!
