Calming Things Down

Ecclesiastes 10:4 If a ruler’s anger rises against you, do not leave your post; calmness can lay great errors to rest.

Today this may apply to our President, a boss, leader of a group or society we belong to, it could even be something as simple as your local P.T.A. Whatever the case may be there are going to be times when you don’t agree with the way the person over you wants things done. There are also going to be times that no matter how hard you work you don’t receive recognition for your efforts. In either situation it’s easy to become frustrated, hurt, or even angry. Solomon is encouraging us to not abandon ship, hang in there, and keep working even when times are tough. Your response to that leader could lend a calmness that speaks volumes to the people you work with and even cause a high tide to slowly lay low. It only takes one person to calm a situation down and allow everyone to get perspective.
