Turn to Wisdom or Ignore it. Which will you choose?
Yesterday Pastor Dave’s challenge to us was to choose to go down the path of Wisdom, listen to her challenge, because staying simple will lead our lives into all sorts of danger and difficulty.

- If we stay simple we remain vulnerable.
- If we stay simple we remain gullible.
- If we stay simple we remain ignorant.
- You don’t have to choose to become a fool, it just happens naturally if you don’t choose to become wise!
- Will you choose to pursue the path of wisdom?

What We Learned:
Joseph had a life or death opportunity with the Pharaoh. He knew he couldn’t rely on his own smarts, he needed to Look to God for Wisdom. Joseph relied on God to take care of him and Pharaoh made Joseph his second in command over all of Egypt because of his wisdom! Read more about this transformation from imprisoned slave to Pharaoh’s right hand man in Genesis 41.
In The Car:
Tell kids about a situation where God’s wisdom saved you from something awful, or brought you an incredible blessing! Take turns going around the car!
At Bedtime:
Thank God for his wisdom! Thank him for sharing his wisdom with the world in his word, the Bible. Ask God for wisdom in being a parent, and for kids ask God for wisdom as they grow!
Weekly Challenge:
Look to God for Wisdom!
This week kids are challenged to do 3 things!
- Read three verses from Proverbs 3 EVERY DAY!
- Ask God to show you the wise choices at school.
- Find one person God has put in your life who will give you godly wisdom when you need help!
By looking to God for wisdom, you will be setting yourself up for success!
