Developing your child’s faith is essential to your child’s future! #PerfectParentMyth

The 5:

A recap of Dave Crandall’s Message, “They’ll Figure It Out” in 5 points or less.

  1. It’s about developing ‘their’ faith, not duplicating ‘your’ faith.
  2. You’re not trying to stamp your faith onto your child, you’re trying to grow their faith from within them, coaxing it, cultivating it, challenging it.
  3. Faith must be fueled not forced.
  4. Faith is both caught and taught.
  5. We must be committed to living God’s word out in front of our kids through our actions and our thoughts and motives.

What We Learned:

The first church looked a lot different than churches do now. Instead of meeting in a building they worked together, ate together, and worshipped together all the time!  If anyone was in need, someone would sell something they owned and help out! Check out Matthew 22:36-40 and Acts 2:42-47 to learn more about our BIG IDEA, We Should Take Care Of Each Other!

In The Car:

Talk about ways you can meet real needs for people who are hungry or have no place to live. What is one way you as a family could do one small thing to help out someone in need this week?

At Bedtime:

Pray with your kids thanking God for always meeting your needs! Thank him that he has blessed us with the ability to help meet the needs of other people, and that we can share the Good News of Jesus with them!
