A Life Lost

Multiple times in the gospels we read a statement from Jesus Christ that says,

“If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel’s will save it.”
[this particular scripture is found in Mark 8:34-35 ESV].

If you are not losing your life, giving it up, every day, you are not after the heart of God. Bold statement, yes, but very true.
