The reward for humility and fear of the LORD is riches and honor and life. Proverbs 22:4

Now that we know the reward, how do we become humble? Just in the simple act of us proclaiming “I am a humble person” or “I will become humble” is just the opposite of humility. But if you become desperate to glorify God and not yourself (John 3:30), you will experience true humility.
